Description
Great wines and great works of art share a common language: balance. Join us for an immersive evening where art, food, and wine come together to explore how harmony is created through contrast, texture, structure, and emotion.
Inspired by the North Carolina Museum of Art’s African and American collections, this unique experience begins with a guided gallery tour, followed by a seated tasting featuring five carefully selected wines paired with five thoughtfully crafted dishes. Through side-by-side comparisons of grape varieties and wine styles, we’ll discover how acidity, fruit, tannin, texture, body, and finish work together to create elegance and expression—just as artists use color, light, composition, and texture to bring their work to life.
Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, an art lover, or simply curious, this unforgettable evening will transform the way you experience both.
“Every masterpiece relies on balance—and so does every exceptional wine.”
– Doreen Colondres
Presented in collaboration with the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) and Catering Works.
