We hear these names and think of celebrations, “happy times,” and colorful Mexico—but behind every sip there is history, craft, and deep-rooted tradition that most people have never experienced.
In this lively and interactive class, we turn it into a friendly battle:
Doreen teaches Tequila. Raj defends Mezcal.
You taste, learn, and decide where your loyalty lies.
Along the way, you’ll explore the regions where agave is grown, how it’s harvested, and the key differences in production—from roasting to distillation—that shape each spirit’s personality. Through a guided tasting, you’ll discover a range of styles while learning how to properly smell, taste, serve, and truly appreciate both Tequila and Mezcal—using professional glassware designed to elevate the experience.
And because this is Vitis House, expect thoughtful bites designed to complement and elevate the tasting and show you how beautifully Tequila and Mezcal can work at the table.
By the end of the evening, you won’t just know the difference—you’ll have a new perspective, a new favorite (maybe), and a much deeper appreciation for what’s in your glass.
