WSET Level 1 Award in Wine Live-Online is the perfect starting point for anyone beginning their wine education journey. Designed for curious wine lovers, hospitality professionals, and career-minded students of all ages, this introductory course builds a strong foundation in wine knowledge and tasting skills.

With the guidance of a Vitis House educator, you’ll explore classic grape varieties, regions, and wine styles while learning how to describe wine using your senses of sight, smell, and taste. There will be three live webinars where you can ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the material while tasting in real time with an educator.

Price includes study materials, tuition, exam, certificate, and pin (upon passing exam).

What will you learn?

This interactive three-week course blends online learning, live sessions, quizzes, and instructor feedback to help you develop practical wine knowledge in an engaging, flexible format. By then end, you’ll have a working knowledge of the classic grape varieties and styles of wine loved worldwide.

Exam

Students will take an exam via Remote Invigilation. Email cheers@vitishouse.com at least 4 weeks in advance to schedule an alternate date if a conflict arises.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 21+ years old
  • Valid ID for the day of the exam

Exam Format

Remote Invigilation Exam

  • Theory exam

    45 minutes

    Format:

    30 multiple-choice questions.

You must score at least 70 % in each part to pass overall. Please note that you have six months from the course start date to sit for the exam
