Course Structure

5 days of intensive professional training using WSET methodology

Day 1

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Course introduction and the Systematic Approach to Tasting. Natural and human factors influencing the vineyard and the winery. White wines of Germany, Alsace, Austria, and Tokaj.

Day 2

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

White and red wines of Burgundy, the Loire Valley, Bordeaux, the Rhone Valley, and the South of France.

Day 3

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Spain and Portugal. Northern, Central, and Southern Italy. Greece, New Zealand, and the United States.

Day 4

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Australia, South Africa, Chile, Argentina, Sparkling and Fortified Wines.

Day 5

9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Preparation

E-Book or printed book included. Shipping fee required if mailed. We support your studies with quizzes and extra learning tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 21+ years old
  • WSET Level 2 certification suggested
  • Valid ID for the day of the exam

Note: We recommend that you hold WSET L2, CMS L2, or can demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge. Please review the course specifications or contact us via email for more information.

Exam Format

  • Tasting exam

    30 minutes

    Format:

    2 wines

  • Theory exam

    2 hours

    Format:

    50 multiple-choice questions and essay questions.

You must score at least 55 % in each part to pass overall.
