WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines is a highly respected qualification, perfect for individuals seeking to delve deeper into the world of wines, this qualification provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET® certified logo.

The price includes the WSET® Level 3 Study Pack, tuition, printed materials, exam, certificate and lapel pin (if you pass the examination). Our superb educators will assist you to develop your analytic tasting abilities through a carefully selected series of 50+ wine samples.

If you decide to divide your payments in two, please register using the “deposit” option and 30 days before the day of the course, pay the remaining amount using the “balance” option.  Please keep in mind you have to pay your full amount 30 days prior de course and the first deposit is non-refundable.

For all WSET®️ qualifications, we use RIEDEL tasting glasses. To register on this course it is recommended that you hold the WSET®️ Level 2 Award in Wines or can demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge.

Exams dates will be scheduled at Vitis House every 3 months. Due to the pandemic, we are limiting the amount of students per class. Government safety measures can affect the date of the course or the test. Please read our Refund and Cancellations policies for details.

What you’ll learn

You will learn the key factors in the production of wine: location, grape growing, winemaking, maturation and bottling.  You will understand how these key factors influence the key characteristics of the principal still, sparkling and fortified wines of the world. Using the WSET® Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT).

Course Structure

5 days. Four days of class and test on February 20 at 9:30am.

5 days. Four consecutive class days and test on July 25 at 9:30am.

5 days. Four consecutive class days and test on November 13 at 9:00am.

Entry Requirements

You must be at least 21 years of age to attend the course and to participate in any alcohol tasting. It is strongly recommended that you hold the WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits, CMS Level 2, or can demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge prior to registering.

Certification

At the end of the course there is an exam that consists of 2 wines, a 50 question multiple choice paper and a 4 question short answer exam. A minimum mark of 55% in each part is required to achieve a pass. All students who pass will be issued with a certificate and will receive a lapel pin.

WSET® Students Cancellations/Refunds

WSET Students will receive a full refund 30 days before the day of the course. We will charge $125 processing fee. Making changes to your WSET reservation within 21 days of the day of the course will result in a fee of 25% of the cost of the course and a fee of 50% within 14 days of the day of the course. Unfortunately, no transfers or refunds are allowed 10 days prior the first day of the course. If you want to be transferred to another course, you must submit a request 14 days prior the course date and pay for the fee.
