$99.00

Clear

Class Date: March 4, 2022

All Bourbon is Whiskey, but not all Whisky is Bourbon!

We have a superb 90+ minute class for you. It is taught by our awarded whiskey educator Raj Sabharwal. Raj is WSET Level 3 certified in Spirits and the owner of Glass Revolution Imports. During this class, Raj will lead you through the history of whiskey/whisky, he will define how whiskey/whisky is made in different countries and regions, the many styles and about the aging process. We will, of course, taste! As we learn we will experience whiskies from around the world,  including Bourbon, Scotch, Irish, Indian, Japanese and more. We will taste some rare, award winning tipples, like George T Stagg (valued at $1500), real Japanese Single Malt, a 20+ year old Scotch, and Amrut Single Malt from India. You will also become more comfortable reading labels, understanding what factors affect price, how to pair these spirits with food, how to serve them and even how to cook with them.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn from educators passionate about Whiskey/Whisky and to taste with an expert in the field. Raj has been recognized as “Whisky Importer of the Year” by Whisky Magazine’s Icons of America Whisky and World Whisky Ambassador by American Icon’s of Whisky Award. Our WSET in Wines/Wine Scholar Guild educator Brianna Burns, DipWSET will be in class while chef Doreen Colondres prepare a yummy bite for you.

*ALL CLASS SALES ARE FINAL. All food and non-food ingredients will be personal to you and your seating area and will be handled with gloves. We follow all safety requirements set by the CDC and the NC Government. If for any reason, VH needs to cancel or reschedule a class, we will give you a full refund.
