Wake up! After breakfast, we are driving to the Golden Mile. The first stop will be at an awarded winery from one of the most prestigious winemakers in Spain. They will guide us following the same way the grapes do as they are processed during harvest, and you will explore the five levels of their gravity-led winery, followed by a tasting of their gems (collector items). After that we will drive to one of the Grande Pagos of Spain, located outside of the DO Ribera del Duero region. We will tour the spectacular estate in a private 4×4 vehicle, visiting their vineyards, the Duero river, the pine and acorn forests and exploring the flora and fauna of the area. The experience will not end until we make a stop at their beautiful tasting room to have a guided tasting of their best gems produced under the Grandes Pagos classification (collectors items).
After that we will be ready to explore the town of Traspinedo where a local chef will prepare a lunch impossible to recreate outside of the region. We will safe some desserts details as a surprise.
In case you have room for some more, we will then drive to the town of Aranda del Duero to visit a underground cellar from the 15th century, to have an over the top tasting with an awarded winemaker , followed by dinner in one of the top award winning Asadores in Spain. You will end up hugging the female chef behind this amazing spot that only locals know about.
DAY 3 – Wednesday Sardón del Duero, La Vid
After breakfast, we will drive to another Grandes Pagos of Spain, located in the “Golden Mile“, to visit a unique winery where the extraordinary conditions capture the landscape in each bottle. On a tour of the different territories you will be able to explore and learn about the history of each project, its vineyards and winemaking processes. During the visit to the facilities you will enjoy a gastronomic magical experience from their Michelin restaurant in harmony with a superb wine tasting from the different vineyards this winery has around the country.
After that, we’ll stop for a fun “vino en porrón” class in Peñaranda, Peñafiel, or at the Monastery of Santa María de La Vid. Just the perfect time for pictures and plenty of laughs!
Before departing we are gonna explore a winery at almost 3,300 feet above sea level in the region of Soria, an area considered by many to be an ethnographic jewel from a viticulturalist’s perspective. In this valley you will find pre-phylloxera vines of a unique ancestral clone of the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grape variety that have been preserved through the centuries. After the tasting paired with one of the best protected cheeses in Spain, we will drive back to the hotel.

We were treated like VIPs with curated, insider-only access that made the entire experience very rich and memorable.
